Reduce Grain Carbs to Lose Weight

sunshineMany people have sensitivities to grain carbs and do not even know it. I’m not talking about gluten sensitivity but also sensitivity to non-gluten grains like corn and rice.

If you find your belly is not shrinking, try cutting out grains and substituting other types of vegetable carbs such as sweet potato, butternut squash, small amounts of white potatoes, rutabagas, lentils etc.  We need carbs for energy and yet when our bodies have become sensitized to grain where it is causing inflammation in our guts, we just do not metabolize foods with grains as well–and our bellies stay full and round.   The fat around our middles will just not budge.

You can also try a more paleo-style of eating with focusing on a lean protein source and a low carb vegetables such a mushrooms, greens of any kind, cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, cabbage, and yellow squash.

Notice how your body feels without grains–for those who have grain sensitivities, it can significantly reduce bloating and cellular edema around the mid section of the body.
