Take five minutes to rejuvenate yourself with this easy-to-perform progressive relaxation meditation.
Begin by exhaling slowly as you count up to five, and inhale slowly as you count to five.
Breathe deeply and slowly as you perform the following:
- Relax your shoulders and feel tension melt and leave.
- Relax arms and hands and feel tension melt and leave.
- Relax the chest and feel tension melt and leave.
- Relax the middle torso and feel tension melt and leave.
- Relax the lower torso and hips and feel tension melt and leave.
- Finally, relax the legs and feet and feel tension melt and leave.
Breathe deeply and fully.
Imagine a life force of bright white light entering through the crown of the head. Breathe fully and deeply.
- Feel that light flood through the head, neck and shoulders.
- Feel that light flood down the arms and hands.
- Fell that light flood throughout the torso.
- Feel that light flow down the legs and feet.
- Feel the entire body filled with calming vibrant energy.
Continue to breathe and bring your awareness to the room, to the sensation of the your body sitting in your chair.
Feel, calm, rested and rejuvenated.
